Model Airplane Event

RSC and Centro Cultural Mexicano are teaming up to bring an exciting model airplane event for 6th-8th graders! With the provided kits, students will have the chance to build their very own model airplane and discover the principles of flight in a hands-on, engaging way. This event will be on April 15th from 12 - 4 pm at Centro Cultural Mexicano’s maker space!

Summer Camps


Web Development Camp

July 18th - 22nd from 9AM - 3PM

Located at the Redmond STEM Center

For 5th - 8th graders. During the RSC Web Development Summer Camp, students will learn the basics of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS as well as the principles behind front-end and back-end development. Students will also explore database technologies and apply the skills they learn to hands-on applications. Course curriculum will be supplemented with in-depth talks given by industry professionals.

For 5th - 8th graders. During the RSC Robotics Summer Camp, students will experience comprehensive training in aspects of robotics ranging from mechanical engineering to electrical engineering to programming. Students will engage in team-building projects throughout the week and the course will culminate in the building of an Arduino-based robot using a custom kit that RSC will provide. All materials are included in the price and will be provided and students will be able to bring their robots home.

Rocketry Camp

August 15th - 19th from 9AM - 3PM

Located at the Redmond STEM Center

For 5th - 8th graders. During the RSC Rocketry Summer Camp, students will learn about rocketry through detailed lessons on aerodynamics and introductory physics. Additionally, they will design, manufacture, and then launch their own model rockets. The course curriculum will also be supplemented with in-depth talks led by industry professionals.
